Our Story
Why Strong Women?
We’re Strengthened by God, Empowered for Purpose, and United for Impact.
There comes a time when women must recognize that strength is not merely the ability to endure hardship; it is the courage to rise, the wisdom to grow, the faith to keep believing, and the willingness to help another woman rise with you. That is the heart behind Strong Women.
Strong Women is more than a name. It is a vision, a sisterhood, a support system, and a ministry of women determined to become everything God created them to be. It is a place where women can find encouragement instead of judgment, support instead of competition, prayer instead of condemnation, and genuine sisterhood instead of isolation.
“She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.”
Proverbs 31:25
How Strong Women Started
Born From a Vision, Called to Give Women Hope
Strong Women did not begin simply as an idea for another women’s group. It began with a vision, a voice, and what our founder believes was a divine assignment.
One night, the vision came with such clarity that it felt almost like reality. In that moment, a voice spoke these words into her spirit:
“You are going to be the voice of women who are struggling in all walks of life. You will bring hope to those who feel they have reached the end and believe there is no reason to continue.”
That vision became the seed from which Strong Women was born.
Meet Our FounderFrom A Vision To A Mission
It Was Not Simply To Gather Women. It Was To Reach Them.
Jesus gave His followers a commission in Matthew 28:19 to 20: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” That word “Go” is important to the vision of Strong Women. We cannot always wait for hurting women to find us. Sometimes we must go to them. We want to reach her before hopelessness convinces her that her story is over.
We Cannot Wait For The Strong Woman To Find Us
Sometimes We Must Go To Her.
Go to the discouraged.
Go to the brokenhearted.
Go to the woman who has lost confidence in herself.
Go to the woman whose marriage or relationship has fallen apart.
Go to the widow and the grieving mother.
Go to the single mother carrying responsibilities alone.
Go to the young woman who has lost direction.
Go to the woman struggling financially.
Go to the woman whose dreams have been buried beneath years of disappointment.
Go to the woman who feels forgotten.
And especially, go to the woman who has become so overwhelmed that she is beginning to lose hope in life itself.
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3. Strong Women exists to become one of the instruments through which God’s love, compassion, encouragement and hope can reach women wherever they are.
Becoming A Voice For The Voiceless
Seen. Heard. And They Matter.
Being “the voice of women” does not mean speaking over women. It means creating a place where women who have suffered silently can finally know that they are seen, they are heard, and they matter. It means standing with women when life becomes difficult. It means encouraging them when they have lost courage. It means praying with them when their faith is weak. It means connecting them to help when their situation requires more than encouragement. It means helping them rediscover their dignity, abilities, confidence and purpose in God.
“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves… defend the rights of the poor and needy.”
Proverbs 31:8 to 9
We want to become a community where a woman’s pain is not used against her, where vulnerability is not mistaken for weakness, and where confidentiality, compassion and genuine sisterhood allow women to seek support without fear of judgment.
Hope Is At The Center Of Our Calling
Your Story Is Not Over.
Your present struggle is not necessarily your final destination. You may have fallen, but you can rise again. You may have lost something precious, but you have not lost your value. You may have made mistakes, but mistakes do not cancel God’s ability to redirect your life. You may be walking through darkness today, but darkness does not mean morning will never come.
“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” Psalm 30:5
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles.” Isaiah 40:31
This is why we are called Strong Women. Not because strong women never struggle. Not because strong women never cry. Not because strong women never become tired. But because strength can be renewed. Sometimes God uses another person’s hand, prayer, testimony, encouragement, or presence to help us stand again.
From One Woman To Another
Every Woman Who Rises Should Help Another Rise.
The vision is bigger than one founder or one generation. What a woman receives here can equip her to encourage, guide, and stand beside someone else.
